MODULE 7 — THE CULTURE AND LIFESTYLE OF THE KINGDOM
Theme: How Kingdom citizens are expected to live on earth — the standards, values, attitudes, and behaviors that reveal Heaven’s culture.
Core Scriptures: Matthew 5–7 (Sermon on the Mount), Romans 12, Galatians 5
SECTION 1 — EVERY KINGDOM HAS A CULTURE
A “culture” is:
- A way of thinking
- A way of speaking
- A way of behaving
- A way of treating others
- A way of making decisions
Kingdom citizens live by Heaven’s culture — a lifestyle shaped by the King.
The world lives from:
- pride
- self
- greed
- pleasure
- ambition
- competition
But the Kingdom lives from:
- love
- truth
- righteousness
- honor
- humility
- service
- holiness
You cannot reveal the Kingdom while living by the world’s culture.
SECTION 2 — THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT: THE KINGDOM CULTURE MANIFESTO
Matthew 5–7 is Jesus’ official description of the Kingdom lifestyle.
It is not “suggestions.”
It is the King defining the behavior of His citizens.
It includes:
1. The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1–12)
Kingdom character starts in the heart:
- poor in spirit (humble)
- pure in heart
- merciful
- hungry for righteousness
- peacemakers
- lovers of truth
- those willing to suffer for righteousness
2. Salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16)
Kingdom citizens influence society without becoming part of its corruption.
3. A higher righteousness (Matthew 5:17–48)
Jesus raises the standard:
- Not just “don’t murder” — but don’t hate.
- Not just “don’t commit adultery” — but don’t lust.
- Not just “love friends” — but love enemies.
Kingdom culture is deeper than behavior — it touches motives, thoughts, and attitudes.
SECTION 3 — THE PRIMARY VALUE OF THE KINGDOM: LOVE
Jesus said the greatest laws of the Kingdom are:
- Love God
- Love people
Love is the foundation of all Kingdom behavior.
This love is:
- Sacrificial
- Pure
- Unconditional
- Consistent
- Merciful
- Holy
- Unselfish
Love is not a feeling… it is a decision to treat people the way God treats you.
The more you grow in love, the more you reveal the Kingdom.
SECTION 4 — THE KINGDOM CULTURE IS A CULTURE OF HONOR
Honor means:
- recognizing value
- treating people with dignity
- respecting leadership
- respecting authority
- respecting elders
- respecting your own calling
- respecting God’s presence
Dishonor shuts doors.
Honor opens them.
Heaven responds to honor.
SECTION 5 — THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE IS A LIFESTYLE OF HOLINESS
Holiness is:
- purity
- separation
- obedience
- living by the King’s standards
Holiness is not legalism.
Holiness is health.
Holiness protects your destiny.
The Kingdom lifestyle rejects:
- fornication
- adultery
- dishonesty
- witchcraft
- drunkenness
- lying
- uncleanness
- deception
Not because God is harsh — but because sin destroys purpose.
Holiness protects the anointing and preserves your spiritual authority.
SECTION 6 — THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE IS A LIFESTYLE OF HUMILITY AND SERVANTHOOD
In earthly kingdoms:
- Greatness = position
- Greatness = wealth
- Greatness = popularity
In the Kingdom of God:
“The greatest among you will be your servant.” — Matthew 23:11
The Kingdom culture:
- prefers others
- serves willingly
- avoids pride
- celebrates others’ success
- rejects self-promotion
- values hidden obedience
The proud fall.
The humble rise.
SECTION 7 — THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE IS A LIFESTYLE OF PEACE & JOY
Kingdom people should be:
- emotionally stable
- spiritually calm
- joyful in trials
- peaceful in storms
- unshakeable under pressure
The Holy Spirit produces:
- love
- joy
- peace
- patience
- kindness
- goodness
- faithfulness
- gentleness
- self-control
Your temperament is proof of your citizenship.
SECTION 8 — KINGDOM SPEECH: HOW CITIZENS TALK
Kingdom culture affects your mouth.
Citizens speak:
- faith
- truth
- purity
- honor
- encouragement
- wisdom
Citizens avoid:
- gossip
- slander
- complaining
- coarse joking
- lying
- negativity
Your words reveal your alignment.
SECTION 9 — KINGDOM GENEROSITY: HOW CITIZENS GIVE
Kingdom giving is:
- joyful
- sacrificial
- consistent
- Spirit-led
- cheerful
- generous
Why?
Because citizens understand everything they have belongs to the King.
Giving is an act of worship.
Giving is an act of trust.
Giving is a proof of alignment with the Kingdom.
SECTION 10 — THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE IS A LIFESTYLE OF FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness is not optional.
It is Kingdom law.
Why?
Because:
- unforgiveness imprisons you
- unforgiveness blocks blessings
- unforgiveness poisons your spirit
- unforgiveness empowers demons
Forgiveness frees your destiny.
SECTION 11 — THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE IS A SUPERNATURAL LIFESTYLE
Kingdom citizens are not ordinary.
They walk in:
- miracles
- wisdom
- favor
- discernment
- supernatural provision
- spiritual authority
- angelic assistance
The Kingdom lifestyle is a demonstration of Heaven on earth.
SECTION 12 — MOTIVATIONAL PUSH: WHY YOU SHOULD DESIRE THE KINGDOM LIFESTYLE
Because it is the life you were created for.
This lifestyle will:
- elevate your character
- strengthen your spirit
- sharpen your discernment
- empower your purpose
- create favor
- attract divine connections
- protect your destiny
- transform your relationships
- honor God
- reveal Christ
- give you peace, joy, wisdom, and power
The Kingdom lifestyle is not a burden — it is freedom.
It is Heaven’s version of the best possible life.
