🔹 LESSON 12.1
A New Heaven and a New Earth
Key Scripture
Revelation 21:1
TEACHING SCRIPT
John sees a new heaven and a new earth.
This does not mean God abandons creation.
The word new means renewed — restored in quality, not replaced in existence.
Creation is healed from corruption.
God does not discard what He created — He redeems it.
KEY TRUTH
Redemption restores what sin corrupted.
STUDENT REFLECTION
- Why does God renew creation instead of destroying it?
- What does this reveal about His nature?

TEACHING SCRIPT
The greatest announcement in Revelation is not judgment.
It is presence.

This fulfills Eden’s original purpose.
God always intended to live with His creation.
The Kingdom is relational before it is governmental.
KEY TRUTH
The goal of the Kingdom is presence, not power.

Pain ends.
Tears cease.
This is not symbolic comfort — it is total restoration.
The effects of sin are completely undone.
KEY TRUTH
God does not manage suffering — He ends it.
STUDENT REFLECTION
- Why must death be removed completely?
- How does this shape our hope?

The Kingdom comes fully.
God’s rule fills creation.
There is no temple because God Himself dwells there.
KEY TRUTH
The Kingdom comes down — it is not escaped.
STUDENT REFLECTION
- Why does the city descend?
- What does this reveal about God’s plan?
