How to Hear the Voice of God & Know His Will
🎓 Welcome to Level 2
Welcome to Level 2 of the Foundations of the Christian Faith.
In Level 1, you learned who you are in Christ, what you have received through salvation, and how your relationship with God has been restored through Jesus Christ.
In Level 2, we move from identity to guidance.
This level is not about becoming mystical, super-spiritual, or dependent on signs, voices, or other people.
It is about learning how God actually leads His children in a clear, safe, biblical, and peace-filled way.
🎯 What This Level Is About
This level exists to answer one essential question:
“How does God guide me in real life?”
Not in theory.
Not only in church.
But in:
- marriage decisions
- career and job choices
- ministry direction
- finances
- relocation
- relationships
- everyday obedience
You will learn how to:
- recognize God’s voice
- distinguish His leading from emotion, fear, or pressure
- know His will for specific situations
- grow confident without becoming presumptuous
🧱 A Foundational Truth You Must Settle First
Before we go any further, you must understand this:
God is not trying to hide His will from you.
He desires to lead you more than you desire to be led.
Scripture says:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God… and it will be given.” (James 1:5)
The problem is not God’s silence.
The problem is often expectation, fear, or misunderstanding about how God speaks.
🛑 What This Level Is NOT
This course is not designed to:
- make you chase voices or supernatural experiences
- replace Scripture with feelings
- teach you to depend on prophecy for direction
- encourage impulsive or rushed decisions
- elevate emotions above wisdom
If you are looking for drama, this level may disappoint you.
If you are looking for clarity, peace, and maturity, this level will strengthen you.
🔑 How God Normally Speaks to His Children
God most often speaks:
- through His Word
- by the inward witness of the Holy Spirit
- through peace
- with wisdom over time
- through godly counsel
God rarely leads through:
- fear
- pressure
- confusion
- manipulation
- urgency to “act now”
Scripture is clear:
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)
🧭 Why This Teaching Is Necessary
Many believers:
- fear missing God
- feel confused when making decisions
- depend on others to hear God for them
- feel pressured by prophetic words
- confuse emotions with divine guidance
This level exists to remove fear and restore confidence.
God never intended His children to be led by anxiety.
🛡️ Safety Before Sensitivity
Before you can grow sensitive to God’s voice, you must first become safe in discernment.
That means learning:
- when to wait
- when to say no
- how to test impressions
- how to handle prophetic words
- how to recognize pressure and manipulation
Maturity is not how loudly you hear God —
it is how wisely you obey Him.
🧠 What You Will Learn in This Level
Throughout this level, you will learn:
- how to hear God without fear
- how to recognize the inward witness
- how to let peace guide decisions
- how to test prophetic words safely
- how to apply a biblical decision-making framework
- how to wait without guilt
- how to walk forward with confidence
By the end of this level, you should be able to say:
“I trust God to lead me, and I trust myself to wait when necessary.”
🧎 A Word on Responsibility
As you grow in discernment, remember this:
God speaks to you because you are His child.
But you are still responsible for the decisions you make.
God does not override your will.
He leads you with wisdom, not coercion.
This level will teach you how to honor both God’s voice and personal responsibility.
🕊️ How to Approach This Level
Approach this level with:
- humility
- patience
- honesty
- openness
- a willingness to slow down
You do not need to rush.
You do not need to perform.
You do not need to prove spirituality.
God leads sons and daughters — not slaves.
